Types of Gifts

Outright Gift

The simplest way to make a big difference is with an outright gift to the Foundation. These gifts can be undesignated to be used where the need is greatest, or to support a specific fund. The Community Fund supports the most pressing needs of the Greater Oxford Community. The Foundation also has eight Field of Interest Funds to help donors target their gifts to their areas of interest. 

Bequest by Will 

Including a charitable bequest in your will is a simple way to make a lasting impact on your community. You can decide at any age by adding to an existing will or writing a new one. 

Gift of Life Insurance

Life insurance provides an easy way for you to give a significant gift to charity, with tax benefits that you can enjoy during your lifetime.

Gift of Appreciated Stock

When you make a gift of appreciated stock to the Foundation your gains are put to good use. Your gift qualifies for an immediate tax deduction based on full market value and is reinvested into the community through the Foundation.

Gift of Individual Retirement Account

Thanks to recently passed legislation, if you are 70 ½ years or older you can make a gift by transferring funds directly from a traditional or Roth IRA account, free from federal income tax. Gifts given in this way count toward required IRA minimum withdrawal amounts for the year of the gift.

Memorial Gifts

If you are making a gift to the Foundation in memory of someone, please include the person's name in the notes section of the donation form. At any given time, we may be processing gifts in memory of several individuals. You will receive an acknowledgement letter in the mail for your donation, and the family will be informed that their loved one was remembered by you.
