To fund an annual award for the winning essay of "The Student Citizenship Contest," which is to be open to all Talawanda Middle School students. The contest, whose topic will be Patriotism/Citizenship, will be tied into Veteran's Day. The Award will be: -A plaque to the student that includes the student's name, the title of the winning essay, and the year of the award. -A small nameplate engraved with the student's name and year of the award placed on Perpetual Plaque on permanent display in the Talawanda Middle School. Talawanda Middle School will submit a grant request to the Oxford Community Foundation annually for purchase of the award plaque and cost of the engraving of both it and the nameplate and will abide by the policies set-forth re: grant requests to OCF from Talawanda Schools. Distribution from this Fund will be made directly to the Talawanda Middle School, not to any individual teacher, student, or administrator of the Talawanda School District.
