Gene Burton Minority Scholarship Fund

Established in 2005 in memory of long time Oxford resident Verlin Eugene (Gene) Burton, this renewable scholarship is awarded to a Talawanda student "who has been disadvantaged because of race, color, creed, cultural background or sexual orientation."


ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:

- Student must be graduating senior of Talawanda High School. - Student must have 2.0 GPA or higher. -Student must be presently holding a full or part-time job(s).


TERM OF ELIGIBILITY:

- This scholarship will be renewed provided the student meets the grade point criteria or 2.0 or higher. Maximum eligibility is limited to four consecutive years or graduation, whichever comes first.
