The Foundation welcomes proposals for projects which:
- Contribute to the personal development of Oxford residents
- Advocate for positive change and focus on problem prevention
- Test or demonstrate new approaches and techniques for solving community problems
- Generate matching funds
- Promote volunteer participation and citizen involvement
- Strengthen non-profit agencies
- Encourage more efficient use of community resources, promote cooperation among
organizations, and eliminate duplicate services.
In general, the Oxford Community Foundation does not fund programs:
- To an organization which has not been determined to be a tax-exempt
public charity of the type described in Section 501(c)(3) of the
Internal Revenue Code
- That represent the principal source of support to an organization
- To an individual
- For scientific, academic, or medical research
- To make up for deficits in the operating budget, except as a
one-time grant to cover a short-term emergency
- For more than two calendar years
The Grants Committee
- The Grants Committee of the Oxford Community Foundation meets
five times each year to consider grant applications.
- Organizations interested in applying for a grant are encouraged
to call or write the Oxford Community Foundation office for assistance
in determining eligibility.
- Each proposal received by the Foundation will be reviewed
- All applicants will be notified in writing, in a timely manner,
of approval/denial of funding requests.

reviewed or acknowledged.

Grant applications are considered by our Grants
Committeee five times each year. Please be aware of the application
deadlines.
What to Do If You Receive a Grant
Grant recipients are required to:
- Return a signed grant acceptance prior to the release of funds
- Adhere to its terms throughout the course of the grant period
- Ensure that all publicity regarding the project mentions the Foundation's
support
- Submit a financial summary and a project evaluation, with applicable digital photographs, within 60 days of the completion of the project.

- Providing a flexible and cost-effective way for donors to improve
the community now and for all time.
Grant Policy
The Oxford Community Foundation, Inc., is a public charitable organization created
by the citizens of the community to enrich the quality of life for individuals and families in Oxford and the
Talawanda City School District. Grants support a variety of programs, including the fields of education, natural
resources, social services, physical and mental health, neighborhood affairs, and the arts.
Grant requests are reviewed according to guidelines established by the Foundation's
Trustees. Requests are approved at the discretion of the Trustees acting within established criteria in applicable
law.
The Oxford Community Foundation actively promotes diversity, equality, and a community
free from discrimination based on race, gender, sexual orientation, ethnic or religious background, age, and/or
disability.
Generally, grants are made to new projects designed to meet or identify community
needs or to expand existing successful programs.
